- NA The MEDCOM Western Regional Contracting Office (WRCO) intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Datex-Ohmeda to procure two S/5 ADU Anesthesia Systems for Bassett Army Community Hospital, Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. The contract will be fir m-fixed price with anticipated date of award of 27 September 2002. The system must combine an anesthetic delivery system and information management systems with essential physiologic monitoring in an integrated manner. The equipment shall include an autom ated preoperative data recording, with essential operative anesthetic functions, inhalation agent delivery, ventilation and physiologic (vital sign) monitoring in a completely integrated workstation. WRCO believes that Datex-Ohmeda is the only company, whi ch can provide this equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written n otification to the Contracting Officer by 25 September 2002. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, WRCO will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Datex-Ohmeda.
