- The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis one (1) each VXWORKS, Motorola PPC6XX VXWORKS Network Source Package, #170-13676 including: Network Source, Runtime Libraries Source, ANSI C Library Source, DOS File systems source, C++ Architecture Specific Runtime Source, SCSI Source bundled, WDB Target Debug Agent Source; one (1) each VXMP Source Code #100-7396; 1 lot consulting services to include on/off site plus travel expenses #160-15065 NTE 120 hours from Wind River Systems, 500 Wind River Way, Alameda CA 94501. The source code licenses agreement is required for the support and development of the MK160 Mod 8, 9, and beyond Gun Computer System (GCS). The source code allows the software engineer to code, debug and analyze programs under the same package, as well as a version control system to help manage the development of the software code generated by multiple u se rs of the system, thus enhancing the productivity of the entire software team. This will give the MK160 Mod 8 Gun Computer System the most current Real Time Operating System (RTOS) features, a baseline RTOS for all its follow up mods and control over the RTOS at the source code level. Wind River is the original manufacturer and retains proprietary rights on all of its licenses and standard commercial software. No other known vendor has the authority to provide their software.
