- To register for this solicitation, you must e-mail the following information directly to Renee Brown at brownrm@ih.navy.mil. Solicitation number (in subject line of your e-mail), name of the requestor, organization name, address, telephone and fax number, and your e-mail address. Use your e-mail read notification feature to confirm the contract specialist?s receipt of your registration. The Government is not responsible for any undelivered e-mail transmissions. It is the requestor?s responsibility to periodically check the IHDIV Contracts Division web-site for the current status of solicitation and amendments. Once the solicitation has been issued on the Internet, the contract specialist will send an e-mail message to the registered requestors informing them that the solicitation is available for downloading off the Internet. Copies of issued solicitations can only be obtained by downloading them from the IHDIV Contracts Division web-site at http://www.ih.navy.mil/contracts (copies of solicitations will not be e-mailed, faxed, mailed, or provided in person. These type of requests WILL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED). There will also be instructions in Section J of the solicitation as to how to obtain the drawing package. Please carefully read and follow these instructions for the obtainment of the drawing package. Approximate issue date of this solicitation is 07 October 2002. NAVSEA Indian Head has a requirement for the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV) for MK 15 MOD 0 Underwater Imaging Systems (UIS), which will also include a Pre-production evaluation, First Article Units, Depot Support Services, Engineering Services, Spare and Repair Parts, Travel, and Data. The systems consists of a Diver Held Unit (DHU), two navigation beacons for long baseline navigation, DHU battery and battery charger, ancillary equipment, and supporting documentation. A ten-year contract is anticipated with production units being ordered FY 03 through FY 05. Approximately 222 systems will be produced. Spare and Repair parts will be order FY 03 through FY 05. Engineering Services will be ordered FY 03 through FY 12. This requirement is being conducted under full and open competition. Award is to be based on best value to the Government. The anticipated contract type will be firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity. The FSC code is 6650 and the NAIC is 334119.
