- The United States Penitentiary (USP) Leavenworth, located in Leavenworth, Kansas is soliciting a contractor to provide weekly egg deliveries. The contractor shall furnish and deliver Eggs, Shell, Fresh or Shell Protected Fresh, Medium or Larger, U.S. Consumer Grade A, Packed 30 Dozen per shipping container, F.O.B. destination. The contract period is from October 1, 2002 thru September 30, 2003. Deliveries shall be made once a week during the contract period. Contractors are advised that the delivery location is the United States Penitentiary Leavenworth, Kansas. Delivery orders will be placed telephonically and orders will be based upon requirements submitted from the Food Services Administrator or the Automation Assistant. Weekly deliveries will be at or about the same time each week, before 10:00am Central Standard Time, and within the established hours of operation, excluding Federal Holidays. Award will be made on an All or None Basis. The government intends to make a single award to the offeror providing the best value to the government. This solicitation will be available to interested parties on or after 7/26/02, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
