Description: This notice is intended to serve as an amendment to a previous synopsis, posted on June 4 1997, regarding the award of the N00600-98-C-0004 contract for Astronomical Support Services for the US Naval Observatory. The contract consists of one (1) base year with four (4) option years, beginning 01 October 1997. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment Washington, intends to exercise the "Option to Extend Services" for a a period of three (3) months (from September 30 2002 through December 31 2002) at the current rates specified in the contract, as prescribed in FAR 52.217-8.
