Description
It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to procure software license and support services on a sole source basis from RingMaster Software Corporation, Randolph, VT, for the Automated Patch Management (APM) for Oracle Applications. The software license and support services, and quantity are needed as follows: (1) 1 - RingMaster Automated Patch Management (APM) Shared Repository Charge; (2) 2 - Global Server; (3) 1 - First Year Annual Technical Support for APM; (4) 3 - Daily On-Site Installation Rate Plus Expenses. The Automated Patch Management (APM): a) gives a full point-and-click access to ALL aspects of patch information such as a list of available patches, readme files, driver files, descriptions, and logfiles; b) a total control over all patch process options including adpatch commandline, parallel workers, and invalid object recompilation; c) the ability to record manual steps associated with a patch and run them either before or after a patch as necessary; d) a patch dependencies and prerequisites set up to prevent errors; e) a patch prediction to predict what a patch will do to the system before it is applied, an automatic notification by email or paging when patches have completed or errored; f) an extensive reporting capabilities on all aspects of patching including a history of patching prior to installing the Patch Management system; g) the ability to refresh the patching information every time you refresh a test database from the Production instance; h) and more importantly, an Automated Patch Management system will allow users to view a detailed patch impact with real-life Form and Report names and descriptions that allow them to test what the patch actually changed in the system, and it enforces a company testing procedures providing accountability. The proposed acquisition will be procured under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items. This is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ), nor is an RFQ available, however, all responsive sources may submit a proposal in a timely manner which will be considered by NLM. Firms interested in responding to the notice must be able to provide the services as specified above. Responses must be in writing and must be received in the office within five (5) calendar days from the publication date of this notice. NLM synopsis No. NLM-02-254-UHP.
