- 17. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ)#0036855, the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #01-08. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not restricted. The North American Industry Classification Code is 332420. The FBI seek competitive prices for the following explosive magazines: two (2) explosive magazines; the magazines requested shall be type 2 ; the magazines shall hold up to 23 pounds of High Explosives (HE) non-fragmentation. The magazine shall weigh a maximum of 18,000 pounds; the inside diameter shall be a minimum of 95", the height shall be a minimum of 12' and a maximum of 15' feet; door opening shall be a minimum of 18" x 36" (one man door operation). The offeror awarded the contract will be requested to provide wooden shelves made to FBI's specifications. The magazine requested must be type 2 as described by law Section 842(j) sub section, 55.208 (b) of the Review Certification" Regulations, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms; Plus shipping and installation charges.---Delivery 45 Days ARO--FOB-Destination, FBI, Building #9, Quantico, VA. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. The following FAR clauses are incorporated by reference and apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commerical Items (Feb 2002). Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR provisions at 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commerical Items (May 2002) with its offer. All proposals shall be submitted to the address listed on line number seven no later than 1:30 P.M. EST, 9/26/02. All proposals shall be clearly marked with RFQ# 0036855. All offerors are hereby notified that if your proposal is not received by the date/time and at the location specified in this notice announcement, that it will be considered late/nonresponsive.
