Description
This announcement is to determine if there are competent and qualified Small Business construction contractors interested in providing offers to construct NAVAIDS/VISAIDS for Runway 8L/26R, George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston, Texas. This procurement is set-aside for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 234990 - $28.5 Million. The work will consist of but is not limited to: (a) Construct of High Intensity Approach Lighting System with sequenced flasher (ALSF-2) for North Runway 8L and North Runway 26R; (b) Construct Instrument Landing Systems (ILS) for North Runway 8L and 26R; (c) Construct (3) Runway Visual Range (RVR) installations; (d) Construct concrete encased underground ducts, pull boxes/manholes and concrete transformer pads for electrical service to all facilities as indicated; (e) Construct access roads to NAVAIDS for Runway 8L/26R; (f) Installation of all Government Furnished Material (GFM) (g) The contractor shall perform all other miscellaneous work as shown on the drawings and described in the specifications. The contract performance period is 310 calendar days. The magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Request for Offer package is expected to be available to issue to small business contractors on or about October 18, 2002. Contractors must have their request for this package to this office not later than 4:00 PM local time, October 14, 2002. Contractor shall not be furnished a package if the request is received after October 14, 2002. Contractor?s request must contain: the name of the company, mailing address, phone number and FAX number. Address request for package to George L. Ramsey.
