- This Modification is to Answer Questions regarding this solicitation: 1. What is normal operating temperature? Answer: 200-900 degrees 2. What is maximum operating temperature? Answer: 1000 degrees 3. What is the temperature accuracy required? Answer: +/- 5% 4. What will oven be used for? Answer: Baking Engine Parts 5. Will oven be used for baking or curing paints? Answer: No 6. Will solvents be present? Answer: Yes Jet Fuel Residue 7. What is the weight of the substrate? Answer: 40-60 8. What material is the substrate? Answer: Nickell Alloy 9. What ramp up time is required? Answer: 2-3 hrs 10. What cool down time is required? Answer: 2-4 hrs 11. Is shelving required? Answer: Yes 12. Is this a new oven? Answer: Yes 13. Can the time be extended? Answer: No:All other information remains the same as written hereafter. Description: This is a synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation (F26600-02-Q-B068) is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation 12 and 13. This acquisition is issued for Full and Open Competition. The North American Industry Classification Code System (NAICS) code for this solicitation is 333994. The Standard Industry Classification (SIC) code is 3567. The item description is as follows: Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, parts, materials, and transportation to Nellis Air Force Base to furnish and install the following equipment: HY100E4 High Temperature Cabinet Oven, Quantity of one (1); DTS3 Digital Timing System, Quantity of one (1); ADS automatic door switch, Quantity of one (1); HHD12, Increase oven depth by twelve (12) inches, results in 38?W x 50?D x 36?H workspace dimensions, Quantity of one (1). ?Or Equal? products may be offered. All part #?s are from The Grieve Corporation. Quotes submitted shall include all costs, including personnel necessary to deliver high temperature oven and accessories that will meet the government?s requirements. Quotations shall be firm fixed price. Award will be made to the responsible, responsive offeror who provides the best overall value to the government. Evaluation factors, in descending order of importance are price, technical ability, and past performance. Offerors must include descriptive literature with their offers. Offerors failing to provide descriptive literature with their offers will be considered non-responsive. Descriptive literature submitted must list the basic specifications so that equipment can be verified and a comparison made between models offered to determine best value. Posted, as an attachment to this synopsis/solicitation is a document titled Oven RFQ, to be used for submitting offers. OFFERORS MUST FAX OR E-MAIL THEIR OFFERS BY 12:00 PM PST, 26 SEP 02. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE PAST PERFORMANCE INFORMATION WITH THEIR OFFER FOR SIMILAR, RECENT (WITHIN THE PAST 3 YEARS) EXPERIENCE. A MINIMUM OF THREE REFERENCES TO INCLUDE PROJECT TITLE, COMPANY NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, AND POINT OF CONTACT SHALL BE PROVIDED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A COMPLETED COPY OF THEIR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS (FAR 52.212-3). A copy of the representations and certifications is attached to this notice. The following provisions apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; FAR 52-212-2, Evaluation for Commercial Items; and 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. Offerors who fail to submit completed Representations and Certifications may be considered non-responsive. FAR provisions 52.214-13, Telegraphic Bids; 52.214-21, Descriptive Literature; and DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration are also applicable. Lack of Registration in Central Contract Registration (CCR) shall make an offeror ineligible for award. For solicitations after 1 Jun 98, all contractors are required to be registered in CCR database to receive a DOD award or payment. In order to register, the contractor must have a DUNS number (call 1-800-333-0505) to obtain one or register via Internet at www.ccr2000.com. This takes approximately 48 hours to process; all other methods take approximately 30 days.
