Description
VA VISN 22 Network Business Center intends to negotiate a COMMERCIAL ITEM (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Perimed, Inc., 6785 Wallings Road, Suite 3-A, North Royalton, OH 44133, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-09. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to obtain a Perimed Laser Doppler Unit with Temperature Unit and Thermostatic Probe. Perimed is the only source that supplies this unit that can be integrated with our existing transcutaneous gas monitoring system, and that includes thermostatically regulated units for heat enhancement of skin blood flow, an essential part of the research program. The Government intends to award a firm, fixed-price contract for the purchase of the Laser Doppler Unit with Temperature Unit and Thermostatic Probe. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The applicable NAICS code is 339111 with a size standard of 500 employees. All proposals received by 4:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, September 26, 2002, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted in writing by mail, or by facsimile at (562) 826-8067.
