Description

The U. S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set-aside an acquisition for Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) concerns only. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 234990 and the small business size standard is $28.5 Million. The acquisition is for the Replace 290-ft of existing steel sheet pile and granite bulkhead with all new steel sheet pile and install a new tieback system. The scope of the project consists of removal and installation of asphalt and concrete pavement. This work will be located on the North side of the boat maintenance building at the U. S. Coast Guard Station Gloucester, Gloucester, Massachusetts. Work includes a base bid item. At the present time, the acquisition is expected to be issued under full and open competition procedures. However, in accordance with FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HUBZone certified and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail or facsimile to Mrs. Carol Anton at canton@fdcclant.uscg.mil or (757) 852-3495 (fax). In your response, include a positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor. Your response is requested by September 20, 2002.
