- VA VISN 22 Network Business Center intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT for Base year plus four option years with Tremont Medical, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-09. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to obtain next-business-day service agreement support for Tremont Care Stations, model SC 2015 (estimated quantity: 100 units), located at VISN 22 VA medical facilities (southern California and southern Nevada only). Service agreement includes: (1) 4-hour telephone response for triage/support; (2) next business day on-site technical assist; (3) replacement parts and boards on an exchange basis; and (4) battery replacement prorated over 18-month warranted life (less replacement labor after 12 months). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All proposals received by 4:00 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time, September 27, 2002, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
