Description
NA TITLE: Radio Frequency (RF) Tags Market Survey DESCRIPTION: This is a request for information only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). The US Army CECOM RDEC is seeking sources and information regarding either an analog or digital RF Tags to uplink data from ground forces to an airborne SAR/GMTI radar platf orm. RF Tags are being sought to participate in an Army C4ISR Demonstration in January 2004. The RF Tags shall be utilized as a locality indicator (embedded in modulated radar return) and objectively as high bandwidth data nodes. They shall be fully pr ogrammable across several radars, modes, and missions. Because multiple tags will be used in proximity with one another, issues pertaining to co site interference and Tag distinction must be considered. A Low Probability of Interception (LPI) must be inc orporated into the Tags? design. In addition, Tags? power consumption must be at a minimum while still performing at optimum levels. The Tags shall be capable of interfacing with X band or Ku Band SAR/GMTI radar. The minimum requirement is to provide ge o-location, Tag ID, and limited other data. REQUIREMENTS: Tag Correspondence Modulation: yes Location: yes Identification: yes GPS: yes Limited Comms: yes Quantity 5 ? 10 Tags The Government will not reimburse contractors or responders to this notice for any costs incurred in responding, or in subsequent exchange of information. All proprietary and restricted information shall be clearly marked. All information shall be submitte d no later than 31 Oct 02.
