- Description
- The Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source award to Consensus Medical Systems, Inc.. Govworks/DOI intends to issue a Purchase Order in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This non-competitive action is being issued by GovWorks under the authority of the Department of Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Telemedicine Directorate. The medical center has a requirement to upgrade an existing system and equipment to version 5.0 for the US Army Vascular Registry System. The US Army vascular health care providers have been using Consensus Medical Systems' registry system to include VascuBase/VascuPro/EndoPro modules for more than six (6) years. Consenus Medical Systems is the only vendor that supports and has an off-the-shelf upgrade of the multiple versions existing at US Army Vascular Registry Service. These existing systems have varying degree versions. Consideration of another vendor is cost prohibitive and would require detail functional requirements, system development, testing, and evaluation before implementation of the upgrade. US Army Vascular Service does not have the funding to resource an extensive effort to re-vamp the system with another vendor. Version 5.0 adds required capabilities to the registry while improving many of the features of version 4.X. Some of the features are: a) Centralization of the database so that all Medical Centers can share data while maintaining the patients' privacy, b) Complies with the mandatory HIPAA requirements, c) Updated to cover the new National Reporting Standards in the areas of endovascular procedures and hemodialysis access. The guidelines are advocated by the SVS/ASVS/SCVIR, d) Interfaces to PDA, Duplex Imaging Equipments, e) Automates clinical notes, f) Provides online Images Storage and Viewing, g) Provides compatibility with new 32/64 bits operating systems, and h) Data conversion to version 5.0The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, all information received within five (5) days of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
