WILEY (202) 564-4454 E-MAIL:WILEY.RONALD@EPA.GOV The Environmental Protection Agency is proposing to place a Sole Source purchase order procedures under Simplified Acquisition procedures (SAP) with The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. for audio visual equipment and conference room rental for five (5) days for the period June 21,2003 through June 26, 2003 in connection with the Tri-National Commission on Environmental Cooperation (CEC) The conference facility must have the capacity to accommodate over 200 attendees and participants and provide audio and visual equipment for more than ten (10) conference rooms. N.B. This is neither a request for proposal or a solictation for offers. A full Market Survey was completed July 2, 2002 in connection with the availability and capacity of of the Hotels in the Washington, D.C. area to meet this requirement. The proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302. Interested parties may identity their interest and capability to respond to the requirment. Any determination by the Government not to further compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received may be used to consider whether to conduct a competitive procurement,
