National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), is requesting bids for work to be performed which will consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct a seawater intake system for the NMFS Santa Cruz Laboratory in Santa Cruz, CA. System to be constructed includes a 2.44 meter (8') diameter steel caisson approximately 19 meters (63') in depth with a concrete below grade pumphouse. Two (2) directly drilled pipelines from the caisson through bluff face to the ocean; a concrete pad with sand filters at grade; 16.8 meter (55') low profile concrete storage tank; a booster pump station with distribution pumps and associated piping; and infrastructure utilities to connect new intake system with existing seawater distribution system. Plans and specification utilize the international system of units (SI) metric equivalent measurements.
