Description
UNICOR intends to enter into a firm fixed price definite delivery definite quantity type contract for an CNC Machining Center. The solicitation number is FN1116 and this solicitation is issued as an Request For Proposal (RFP). This is NOT a brand name requirement for the following equipment: CNC Machining Center Requirements: Center must be designed for heavy duty routing, drilling, and machining of solid wood pieces and flat panels; be manufactured with a triangular steel base; and be designed to ensure vibration-free operation. Machine frame must be rigid, with a fixed arm design. Design must also accommodate high accuracy at travel rates of at least 70 meters/min. Further requirements are as follows: o Square rails w/ double lip dust/grease seal. o Allows Pre-loading. o AC brushless digital servomotor for movement along x-axis. o Precision "Alpha" reduction gear and helicoidal rack and pinion. o "Y" & "Z" axis movement controlled by hardened and ground ball screw(s). o Driven by heavy-duty brushless servomotor. o Heavy duty, digital, programmable solid-state frequency inverter. o Support for programmable speed (RPM) control. o Z-axis presetting. o 2 independent workstations w/ separate vacuum controls. o 2 sets of y-axis stops per zone. o 4 local reference points per zone. o Pneumatic reference pin stops w/ steel through rods. o Laser guided alignment of all linear guides. o Parallel and linear tolerances must be within 0.02 mm per linear meter. o ISO 230-2 compliant testing procedure. o Linear analysis of the axis in terms of avg. unidirectional deviation. o Inversion values. o Repeatability values. o Testing on axis interpolation made w/ Ball-Bar Renishaw system. o Central lubrication system w/ progressive distribution. o Single feeding point for the group of distributors. Working Field Requirements: x-axis 4500 mm (177.2") y-axis 1300 mm (51.2") z-axis 175 mm (6.9") max. pnl thickness 175 mm (6.9") Electrospindle 1400 mm (55.1") Total Axis Stroke Requirements: x-axis 4780mm (188.2") y-axis 1645 mm (64.8") z-axis 250 mm (9.8") Max. Machinery to be delivered FOB Destination FCI Ashland, KY. Delivery is 60 days after receipt of contract/delivery order. This is a full and open competitive Request for Proposal for an CNC Machining Center. Offerors are advised that the Government intends to evaluate offers and award on an all or none basis. Offers shall submit signed and dated offers to UNICOR, Office Furniture Business Group, 320 First Street NW, 400 Building, 7th Floor, Washington, DC 20534, ATTN: Bid Custodian. Offers received after the exact time and date specified will not be considered. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate proposals: price and past performance. Variation in quantity is +/- 0%. This is a best value procurement. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer will be mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
