Description
UNICOR intends to enter into a firm fixed price definite delivery definite quantity type contract for an Single Sided Edgebanding Machine. The solicitation number is FN1117 and this solicitation is issued as an Request For Proposal (RFP). This is NOT a brand name requirement for the following equipment: Item: Single-Sided Edgebanding Machine Requirements: Machine base must be manufactured with a continuous machine frame, off-trim collection channel, and automatic feed track system, feed chain with 80mm wide chain plates, vulcanized rubber inserts, and centralized lubrication. Unit must support both PUR and PVA adhesive application systems (see detailed specifications, pages 2 and 3). Top pressure beam must include doublewide compound v belt, motorized height adjustment for variable panel thickness, and a digital counter. Upper working heads of workstations must be linked to top pressure beam for automatic adjustment to panel thickness. Outboard panel support must have an extendible roller track (to 800mm). Packaging and Marking Preservation, packaging, and marking for all items covered by this contract shall be in accordance with commercial practice and adequate to insure acceptance by common carrier and safe arrival at destination. The contract number should be on or adjacent to the exterior shipping label. Each package received must be marked for type and quantity. A Certificate of Conformance must accompany each shipment. Delivery can be made at the Unicor Warehouse between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., notwithstanding Institution Emergencies or Federal Holidays. All shipments should be labeled as follows: a. Vendor Name b. Purchase Order Number and Contract Number c. Item Description d. Item quantity and weight e. Other pertinent information 1. Machinery to be delivered FOB Destination FCI Ashland, KY. Delivery is 60 days after receipt of contract/delivery order. This is a full and open competitive Request for Proposal for an Single-Sided Edgebanding Machine. Offerors are advised that the Government intends to evaluate offers and award on an all or none basis. Offers shall submit signed and dated offers to UNICOR, Office Furniture Business Group, 320 First Street NW, 400 Building, 7th Floor, Washington, DC 20534, ATTN: Bid Custodian. Offers received after the exact time and date specified will not be considered. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate proposals: price and past performance. Variation in quantity is +/- 0%. This is a best value procurement. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer will be mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
