Description

NA Sole Source. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Remotec, Inc., 114 Union Valley Rd., Oak Ridge, TN 37830. This contract will be for a proprietary hardware/software upgrade of an Andros F-6A Material Handling Robot. The upgrade will consist of the following equipment: 1 each Radio Control Assembly (Remotec P/N: C7055-8440), 1 each Switchbox Assembly (Remotec P/N: E2450-8150), 1 each Vehicle Interface Board Assembly (Remotec P/N: D&055-9592), 1 each Picture in Picture Adapter Board Assembly (Remotec P/N: D7055-9620), and 2 each Surveillance Camera Assemblies (Remotec P/N: C2450-3550). These items are made by Remotec and prepared for explosive use and will allow for the inter changeability as well as form, fit, and function with pre-existing Remotec robotic systems at USAYPG. Interested parties may submit technical literature showing their capability to meet the Government requirement no later than 1:30 P.M. MST on October 03, 2002. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information receive d will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22, with the exception that the time period for receipt of proposals for consideration is 6 days instead of 45 days.
