NA To order a CD, interested firms may either (1) fax requests, complete with company name, mailing address, physical address, point of contact, phone number, fax number, and business size to Connie Kindelspire at (509) 527-7802, or (2) email requests with al l of the same information to Connie.L.Kindelspire@usace.army.mil The Walla Walla District?s web page at http://www.nww.usace.army.mil/ebs/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp may be used, however it is requested that registration be confirmed with either a fax o r an email. The government cannot guarantee a company will be included on the bidders list if registration is completed using only the web page. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON CD ONLY. Technical point of contact is John Boschker (509) 527-7541. Request for Proposals will be issued on or about October 25, 2002, with proposal closing no earlier than 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Closing date will be stated in the solicitation. Work on the two 5kv station service busses at the Lower Granite Dam hydroelectric powerhouse in Garfield County, Washington includes replacement of existing air-blast breakers with 20 new vacuum breakers. Furnish and install two breaker (switchgear) cubic les. Replace differential current transformers. Extend existing bus duct to new breakers. Relocate existing controls and replace control cables. Replace existing electromechanical feeder and transformer relays in the SO boards with new microprocessor-b ased relays. Modify the SO boards. Other miscellaneous and related work. Proposals will be evaluated on criteria specified in the solicitation. A tentative listing of the main evaluation factors is as follows: past performance, technical design and pr oject plan, technical staff capabilities, price, participation of small and disadvantaged business concerns. A finalized listing of evaluation criteria, including order of importance and relative importance will be contained in the solicitation. PROCURE MENT IS UNRESTRICTED, open to both large and small business concerns. Size standard for identification of small business firms under NAICS Code 335311 is that the average employment, based on the number of persons employed in a full-time, part-time, tempo rary, or other basis during each of the pay periods of the preceding 12 months, shall not exceed 750 employees. This notice is not a request for proposals, but a notice that our intention is to issue a solicitation for this requirement. See Numbered Note 26.
