Description

Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the mini-dockside repairs of USCGC BOUTWELL (WHEC 719), a 378? high endurance cutter, homeported in Alameda, CA. All work shall be performed onboard the USCGC BOUTWELL, during the period of 04 November through 27 November 2002. Work items to include: tachometers (critical) calibrate; press gauges & thermometer (critical) calibrate; electric meters (critical) calibrate; helo talon grids inspect & test; commissary hoists Level 1 inspect & test; ammo hoist overhaul; pyrometers & thermometer (critical) calibrate; void preservation. The Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be issued on or about 16 October 2002. Potential offerors are advised that the solicitation, specifications and other notifications can also be accessed on the web site: www.eps.gov. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantage Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
