Description

This is a synopsis of a requirement for ship repair. This is request for quotation (RFQ) number DTCG80-03-Q-3FA008. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611 and the size standard is 1000 employees. The requirement is for the following: Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, parts, services, and competence to perform the following onboard USCGC VIGILANT (WMEC-617): 1.Inspect Talon Grid Installation, 2. Resurface Flight Deck, 3. Resurface Boat Decks. Performance period is December 30, 2002 to January 27, 2003. Place of performance is Cape Canaveral, FL RFQ package and Specifications to be available electronically on October 18, 2002. Funds are not presently available for this project and no award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offer: Price and Technically acceptable. The proposed solicitation listed here will be awarded as part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
