Description
The 311 HSW/YACL intends to issue solicitation F41624-02-R-1115 for ALARM, GAS, AUTOMATIC. National Stock Number (NSN) 6665-01-495-0648MH. Part Number: A-A-59707. Relative NAICS code 334513. The purpose of this solicitation will be to award a full and open competitive acquisition between large and small businesses under the authority of FAR PART 12. This effort will be a three-year, firm fixed price requirements type contract, to include a one-year base period with Best Estimate Quantity (BEQ) of 55; 2 one-year priced option periods with 30 ea. BEQ for the first option year period and 29 ea. BEQ for the second option year period. Predominant Material: Electronic Components and circuit cards. Size/Dimensions: weighs approximately 401 lbs and size is approximately 4000 cubic inches. Form, Fit and Function: Used to monitor levels of hydrazine present in working environments when servicing, maintaining and overhauling aircraft components & assemblies where exposure to H-70 hydrazine vapors exist. Detector must be able to continuously detect and measure hydrazine vapors ranging from 0-2.0 parts per million (ppm) in 0.01 ppm increments. Proposals will be evaluated based on the following factors: FACTOR 1. Technical Evaluation/Capability IAW Commercial Item Description (CID), A-A-59707, dated 10 Dec 2001. Sub-factors: Descriptive Literature and Brochures. FACTOR 2. Price. Delivery to CONUS, overseas and FMS destinations. Inspection and Acceptance at Source. If the contracting officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of an acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentially as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
