Description

NA Operations Support Command (OSC), Rock Island, IL intends to negotiate on a sole source basis for one used small caliber demilitarization machine with General Dynamics OTS, 8820 Route 148, Marion, IL 62959. The machine will be comprised of a conveyor syst em, cartridge tear down machine with a vacuum pump, propellant dump module and shield assembly, a deprime machine with a primer firing module, particulate air filter, wet scrubber and cyclone, and a material handling equipment unit with a scale and vacuum hoist. The contractor will further provide all necessary tooling and support to include technical data packages, tooling, drawings, operations manuals, spare parts, feed and tilt table and tear down and packing support. Item will be utilized to conduct re source, recovery and recycling of small caliber ammunition. This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responses received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis may be considered by the Go vernment. Written responses only. Must include prices and descriptions containing sufficient technical documentation to establish a bonafide capability to meet the requirement. No award will be made on the basis of offers or proposals received in respons e to this notice. If no responses are received which indicate a comparable source is available by the 15th day after publication of this notice in the FBO, a contract will be awarded to General Dynamics OTS.
