Description

Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas? 500,000 gallon water storage tanks #1 and #2, facility numbers 144 and 145 will require (1) the interior surfaces be blasted for preparation and epoxy coat the interior of both tanks, (2) removal and replacement of access ladder in both tanks, (3) remove and replace cathodic protection system in both tanks, (4) install overflow pipes, pipe supports in both tanks, (5) check valves in both tanks, and (6) apply prime coat and finish coats of paint to pipe, supports, hangars, and other components for both tanks. Optional items that may be included are (1) replace corroded structural steel members as required in both tanks, (2) fill pits as required in both tanks. This solicitation is being issued as a full and competitive acquisition. Solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted through the Electronic Posting System (http://eps.gov). NAICS 235210 contract magnitude $100,000 to $500,000. Paper copies WILL NOT be provided. Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and obtaining the solicitation and amendments and downloading them for their files. Request this office be notified if the solicitation downloaded and you plan on submitting a proposal. The following information is requested: company name, address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address, business size/type, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, DUNS number, and tax ID number. Interested offerors must ensure they are registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) in order to receive an award of contract. Funds are currently not available, this requirement is pending possible end of year funds authorization. Estimated solicitation issue date is 31 August 2002.
