- NA Arkansas River Fisheries Habitat Restoration, Section 206, Pueblo, CO. This is a Sources Sought request for 8(a) and/or HUBZone contractors who have performed this type of worrk before. Bonds shall be required. This proposed solicitation is expected to be available in June 2003. The estimated cost of this work is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Work consists of constructing fish habitat improvement structures in approximately 10 miles of the Arkansas River between Pueblo Dam and the Fountain Creek confl uence near Pueblo, CO. Construction includes: excavation (~35,000 cy/ea) of two river realignments (~2,000 ft/ea) and backfill/grading (~15,000 cy/ea) of the old adjacent river channel; construction of eight rock (3-5 ft dia.) weirs across the channel and excavation of bedrock in some of the downstream pools for a fish passage/whitewater boating course; rock (2-3 ft dia.) placement for boulder clusters, cross vanes, and weirs within the channel throughout the reach; ?lunkers? consisting of 2x10?s and 6x6 p iles overlain with rock and soil lifts; and vegetated bars consisting of excavated material, pitrun gravel, soil lifts, biologs, and stone toe protection. This proposed solicitation will be a competitive 8(a) or a competitive HUBZone Set-Aside. NAICS 234 990/SIC Code 1629, size standards $28,5000,000. This project will be advertised as a Request for Proposal and awarded to the responsive, responsible offeror providing the best value to the Government. This proposed procurement will result in a fixed-pric e contract. . Any prospective bidder interested in bidding must register to be placed on the Plan Holders List.
