Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, RI (NUWCDIVNPT) has a requirement for technical services to support the Transducer and Hull Array Division of NUWCDIVNPT. Efforts will include: Testing of transducers, hydrophones, acoustic domes and windows; installation of transducer and sonar equipment for land based an at-sea testing; evaluation of fleet returned transducers and hydrophones for usability/required restoration efforts; conduct technical investigations of transducer/hydrophone problem areas to determine any technical/schedule/cost impacts; transducer equivalent circuit and array modeling; maintenance/enhancement of Transducer Program Database; Transducer Restoration Facility (TRF) efforts including tracking equipment restoration efforts to support ship and shore site delivery schedules; Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) including maintenance and update of the Transducer Configuration Management database. A five (5) year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Cost Plus Fixed fee Contract with Fee Adjustment Provisions is anticipated. Award will be made on a Best Value basis with technical factors including Past Performance and Personnel. The estimated level of effort for the five year period is a total of 255,750 hours. Key labor categories will include Acoustical Engineer III, Transducer Engineer II, Logistician II, Configuration Management Specialist III, Electrical/Electronics Technician IV and V. A single contract award is planned. This acquisition is being issued on an unrestricted basis; NAICS code is 541330/$23.0 Million. Prior contract is N66604-98-D-0087 with DDL Omni.
