- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is seeking sources capable of producing a modernized or replacement system for the United States Marine Corps Tube Launched Optically Tracked Wire Guided Anti-Tank Missile System (TOW). Through the remainder of this document this system will be referred to as the Advanced Anti-Armor Weapon System, Heavy (AAWS-H). AAWS-H is composed of two major subsystems, a launcher and a missile. In addition to meeting the operational capabilities cited later in this announcement, it is desired that the new launcher be backward compatible with the existing USMC TOW missile stockpile, being capable of firing a family of missiles including the current TOW 2B missiles in the USMC inventory. This Request for Information (market survey) is a continuation of SOL N00178-00-Q-1036 and is not a request for proposal or announcement of a solicitation. The purpose of this market survey is to identify candidate systems to compete in a formal Analysis of Alternatives (AoA). This
