Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO.1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR an Optical Microscope System. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to amend the specification as follows: The Government requires an optical microscope system for transmitted and reflected light with the following features: 1) Throat depth at least 7.5" 2) Brightfield and darkfield imaging ability 3) Trinocular head for simultaneous digital imaging and binocular viewing using tilting eyepiece tube 4) Eyepiece with 25mm field of view 5) 4-position magnification changer: 1X, 1.25X, 1.5X, and 2X 6) Objectives: 2.5X, 5X, 10X, 20X, and 50X, with 50X objective having a working distance of at least 3/8" 7) Focusing safety stop for coarse focusing range 8) Polarizer plus analyzer 9) 8" x 8" mechanical stage, with fixed position fine movement controls, and quick release clutch for coarse movement 10) Two 100 watt halogen lamphouses, one for reflected and one for transmitted beam; includes lamps 11) Digital imager of at least 4 megapixels, with PC imaging software. (GSFC will provide the PC) 12) Neutral density filters: 4X and 16X 13) Color balance filter for halogen light source 14) Green filter 15) Motorized aperture diaphragm (6 position turret) 16) Insertable focus target to aid locating difficult surfaces 17) Breath shield The due date for receipt of offers is extended to October 17, 2002. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ5-83294-910 posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) by October 17, 2002. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and reside on the World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
