Description
Project to Replace Strobe Light System 17/35, Sheppard AFB TX, Project (VNVP 011063) will be issued in the near future. Work will consist of furnishing all necessary plant; labor and materials to replace the existing Twenty-One (21) station (2 flash heads per station) sequenced flashing lighting system for Runway 17. This is a specialized acquisition, which requires strict adherence to airfield safety standards, since the contractor will be working in close proximity to active runways. The contractor shall coordinate all work with the Civil Engineering contract inspector, and the Contracting Officer. All work shall be in accordance with the statement of work and drawings. Magnitude of construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance period is 150 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Solicitation is being issued for FULL and OPEN competition. Applicable NAICS code for this project is 235310, with a size standard of 12 million dollars. ATTENTION CONTRACTORS: Funds are not currently available for this solicitation. Award of a contract as a result of this solicitation is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment of this contract may be made. There shall be no legal liability on the part of the government for contract purposes until funds are made available to the contracting officer. The contracting officer will confirm availability of funds in writing to the contractor upon award of contract. Solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted through the electronic posting system (http://eps.gov/). Paper copies will not be provided. Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and obtaining the solicitation documents and any amendments. Interested offerors must ensure they are registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive award of a contract.
