Description
Contractor shall provide mail, messenger and warehouse services to the Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division. Services to be provided include, but are not limited to: Mail Services - 1) Prepare and sort 150-200 pieces of incoming mail and parcels for delivery to destination offices. 2) Identify and re-route mail that is incorrectly addressed (Approximately 20 pieces per day.) 3)Deliver mail to destination points and pick up outgoing mail. (3 mail runs per day; 30 stops each run.) 4) Prepare and bag outgoing interoffice and pouch mail. (Approximately 200 pieces of outgoing mail per day.) 5) Receive, record, distribute and dispatch certified, registered, and express mail in accordance with USPS, GSA or Departmental regulations or instructions; maintain log of such mail. 6) Prepare outgoing packages for mailing in accordance with USPS requirements. Messenger Services - 1) At least one trip daily from the EFLHD office in Sterling, VA, to the FHL HQs, Nassif Building, Washington, DC, to deliver and pickup documents. One or more stops at pickup stations in the Nassif Building will be made. The contractor shall furnish a vehicle for this purpose. (Trip between EFLHD and Nassif Bldg takes approximately 1 hour; pickup/delivery within Nassif Bldg takes approximately 45-60 mins.) 2) Other trips may be required within the Washington Metropolitan area for such purposes as delivering documents, maps and supplies. Contractor personnel shall possess a valid State driver's license. Warehouse Services - Receive and sign off incoming shipments of equipment, materials, and supplies after verifying accurancy of shipment. 2) Store/stack/shelf items according to their size, shape, use and quantity. 3) Locate and ship requested items to project locations. 4) Make deliveries between the warehouse/ training facility and EFLHD's office. (2-3 deliveries per week @ 1 hour per delivery.) 5) Assist in conducting warehouse and office inventories. 6) Maintain property records both manually and through use of personal computer. 7) Move furniture and other personal property between EFLHD's office and warehouse/training facility. 8) Perform general housekeeping of the warehouse and conference/training facility.
