Description
NA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking expression of interest from firms who are interested in proposing on the following project: Whole Neighborhood Revitalization of 128 senior enlisted stairwell apartment-type family housing units constructed in early 1950?s at Ansbach (Bleidorn Family Housing Area) to current standards, including neighborhood amenities, supporting infrastructure a nd energy efficiency. Work includes increasing living space, new closets, doors, adding private laundry rooms to all units and adding second bathrooms to larger units, new energy efficient windows, repair and upgrade of electric system including 110V, heat ing lines and radiators, and replace roofing and add insulation. Project modernizes stairwells and entries. Supporting facility work includes central trash collection points, repair of walkways, parking, lighting, water, sewer and storm drain lines and upg rade of recreational facilities and landscaping. Fire protection and life safety equipment will be repaired or installed. The estimated range of this project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. Performance period is: five hundred forty (540) calendar days. The plans and specifications for this solicitation will be on CD-ROM and will be provided free of charge and shou ld not be returned. Paper, hard copies, of the plans and specifications will not be provided. Offerors are asked to submit their expressions of interests on or before 17 October 2002. E-mail responses are preferred, but fax responses will also be accepted. Telephonic responses will not be accepted.
