Description
The Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source award to Supply-Chain Council. Govworks/DOI intends to issue a Purchase Order in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This non-competitive action is being issued by GovWorks under the authority of the Department of Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of The Deputy Under Secretary of Defense, Logistics and Materiel Readiness. Defense Logistics has a requirement for support to perform a training session to provide information regarding a supply-chain operations reference-model (SCOR). The Supply-Chain Operations Reference Model (SCOR) is a process reference model that has been developed and endorsed by the Council as the cross-industry standard diagnostic tool for supply-chain management. SCOR enables users to address, improve, and communicate supply-chain management practices within and between interested parties. The session shall provide a comprehensive examination of the SCOR-model within an organization which is designed to aid in the area of business case supply-chain management. There are multiple dimensions involved in this workshop; they embrace wholesale and retail supply chain operations. The performing activity must have extensive knowledge and demonstrate capabilities in the area of inventory modeling. The performing activity will conduct a training session on SCOR-Modeling that encompass the following activities: 1) SCOR Model overview/Scope, 2) Business Case Assessment, 3) Skill builder Metrics, 4) SCOR Model Configure Supply Chain, 5) Performance Specifications, 6) Knowledge and Skill Building, 7) Align supply chain performance, practices and systems, and 8) SCOR-Model Implementation. The performing activity must be a member of Supply Chain Council. Training on this model is available to member companies only and training is provided exclusively by supply-Chain instructors. The two day training session will begin October 21, 2002 - October 23, 2002. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, all information received within five (5) days of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
