Description

This project consists of the repair of erosion damage to county roads, bridges, and culverts in Lamar County, Texas. The work to be accomplished includes construction of concrete footings and timber headwalls, installation of culverts, placement of rock riprap, and grouting of rock riprap to protect the roads, bridges, and culverts. A total of 12 sites are to be constructed with one or more of these protective measures on each site. All work areas and easement routes will be marked or identified at the time of the site showing. Contractor will be responsible for traffic control as needed. Only one award will be made for the entire project. The NAICS Code is 234990. Performance period will be 236 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed, which will be approximately November 25, 2002. A 20% bid bond will be required. Performance and payment bonds of 100% each will be required of the contractor awarded this contract. This project is unrestricted and is not set-aside for small business concerns. Price range is from $250,000 to $500,000. Site showing will be conducted on October 23, 2002, 10:00 A.M., at the Lamar County Courthouse, 119 North Main, Paris, Texas. Solicitation will be posted and be available to download on or about October 11, 2002.
