- NA NA Description of Work: This Sources Sought Notice is seeking Section 8(a), Small Businesses and HUBZone small businesses for competitive consideration. A Market Survey is being conducted to determine the sizes and types of businesses eligible for the following proposed work: Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) Services, investigation and design services and Ordnance and Explosive (OE) Design S ervices in accordance with the Brooks Architectural-Engineering Act, (FFP) which may or may not include construction remediation. The work will be performed within the areas of responsibility of the Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division, (EPA Regions I, II, III) and other mission areas supported by NAD. This proposed work is in support of a combined HTRW/OE procurement for both Baltimore and New England Districts however, the ability to support Europe District is also desirable. The NAICS code governing this potential procurement is 562910, with a size standard of 500 Employees. The estimated dollar value of the procurement is between $5M to $15M. The project is planned for advertisement in 2003 with award scheduled late in the calendar year. All eligible Section 8(a), Small Businesses and HUBZone small businesses should notify this office in writing by mail of your interest in this notice. E-mail r esponses will not be accepted. District personnel and the U.S. Small Business Administration will review submissions. Responses should include: (1) Identification of company size status, certifications, i.e. 8(a), or HUBZone, or if you are a small business, you must provide a self-certification. (2) If you are an 8(a) or HUBZone firm considering a joint venture, you will need to provide proof that this consideration has been forwarded to the cognizant SBA office for approval. (3) Proof of the capability of obtaining single bonding capacity up to $10M. (4) Evidence that you have the potential resources to perform work for the European District Office, i.e. an established international office or one that could be established and availability of personnel. This is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. Responses are required within fourteen (14) days after publication of this notice or no later than 23 October 200 2. Responses should be addressed to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, P.O. Box 1715, Room 7000, Baltimore, MD 21203-1715, ATTN: Jean Petty, Contract Specialist. Firms interested shall provide the above documentation, in one original form and one copy. Responses shall be limited to 5 pages. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided. The results of this survey will be considered to be in effect for a period of one ye ar from the date of this notice.
