- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The Department of Vetera= ns Affairs is developing a solicitation in which one or more contractors will provide Home Oxygen Services to beneficiaries of the VA facilities in Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISN) 19 & 21. Work will involve the set-up and maintenance of contractor owned equipment and supplies, set up and maintenance of Government owned equipment, performing patient education on the use of all oxygen equipment and providing regular reports. The VA facilities that will be included in the contract are, from VISN 19; Denver, CO; Grand Junction, CO; Salt Lake City, UT; Cheyenne, WY; Sheridan, WY; The Montana Healthcare System (Ft Harrison, MT). From VISN 21: VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System (Reno, NV); San Francisco, CA; Fresno, CA; Palo Alto/Livermore, CA; Martinez, CA; Honolulu, HI. The geographic areas of coverage by State and County are as follows: Colorado =96 the entire state excluding the Counties of Montezuma, La Plata, Archuleta, and Las Animas.=20 Wyoming =96 the entire state excluding the Counties of Crook, Weston, and Niobrara. Montana =96 the entire state. Utah =96 the entire state. Idaho =96 coverage will include the counties of Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Bonneville, Caribou, Clark, Franklin, Fremont, Jefferson, Madison, Oneida, Power, and Teton. Kansas =96 coverage will include the Counties of Cheyenne, Greeley, Hamilton, Logan, Sherman, Stanton, and Wallace.=20 Nebraska =96 coverage will include the Counties of Banner, Cheyenne, Deuel, Garden, Keith, Kimball, and Scott Bluff. North Dakota =96 coverage will include the Counties of Billings, Golden Valley, and Slope. Nevada =96 coverage will include the Counties of Elko, White Pine, Washoe, Humboldt, Eureka, Churchill, Mineral, Douglas, Storey, Pershing, and Lyon. Hawaii =96 The entire State of Hawaii. California =96 coverage will include the Counties of Alameda, Amador, Alpine, Butte, Calavaeras, Contra Costa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Marin, Mendocino, Merced, Monterey, Modoc, Mono, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehema, Trinity, Tuolumne, Yolo, and Yuba. The VA is interested in hearing from potential contractors who can perform service in some or all of the areas listed. Contractors must be accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) or equal accreditation body. Interested and qualified contractors are encouraged to send information regarding their business size, the area of coverage they would provide an offer for and the governing body they are accredited by. Information must be sent to the POC listed no later than October 31, 2002. The NAICS code for this solicitation will be 532291.
