Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All responses to this Solicitation/Request for Quotation (RFQ) must refer to Solicitation Number F04693-03-T-0002. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09. This contract is Set-aside for Small Business. The NAIC code associated with this requirement is 812331, and the size standard is $12,000,000. Linen service shall include the items listed below. The contractor shall provide pricing for each contract line item, delivery three times per week. Contract line item number (CLIN) 0001?Pillow slips, 42 x 36, 106 per delivery; CLIN 0002?Wash cloths, 12 x 12, 160 per delivery, CLIN 0003?Sheets, queen fitted, 120 per delivery; CLIN 0004?Bath towels, 24 x 50, 160 per delivery; CLIN 0005?Sheets, queen flat, 120 per delivery; CLIN 0006?Hand towels, 16 x 27, 160 per delivery; CLIN 0007?Blankets, queen, 60 per week; CLIN 0008?Sheets, twin flat, 16 per delivery; CLIN 0009?Bath mats, 140 per delivery; CLIN 0010?Mattress pads, queen, 120 per delivery; CLIN 0011?Mattress pads, twin, 16 per delivery; CLIN 0012?Sheets, twin fitted, 16 per delivery; 0013?Blankets, twin, 4 per week. The contractor shall provide all functions, tasks and responsibilities normally inherent to providing linen services to a lodging facility in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. Service location is the Fort MacArthur Inn in San Pedro, California 90731. The anticipated start date is 01 November 2002 for a period not to exceed one year. To be eligible, potential offerors must be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR), NO EXCEPTIONS. In order to register, apply through the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Commercial Items, including the following sub clauses, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.222-41, 52.222-42, 52.222-44, 52.222-47, and 52.232-33, apply to this acquisition. All offerors are required to include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with this offer. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible applicant whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Factor 1: Past Performance. Factor 2: Price. The offerors shall provide references from at least three (3) customers who use the contractor?s linen services. Include a point of contact (POC), contract number, and telephone number. Provide references immediately upon decision to submit quote. When combined, all evaluation factors other than price are significantly more important than price. If, after evaluation of business practices and past performance information, two or more proposals are determined to be relatively equal, price will be the determining factor of award. All information must be submitted to the contact listed below by close of business October 21, 2002. All responsible sources may submit a quote. All quotes will be considered.
