- Description
- Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, and incidental supplies necessary to perform Road Maintenance Activities on Forest Service roads within the boundaries of the Shawnee National Forest. Work activities include, but are not limited to, 1) blading aggregate surfaced roads; 2) hauling and spreading crushed aggregate as needed; 3) mowing and mechanized brushing of roadsides; and 4) other work, including culvert repair/replacement, drainage ditch construction, debris cleaning around bridges, etc.). This project is divided into two main bid items based on two geographic areas, Bid Item A - East Side and Bid Item B - West Side, of the Shawnee National Forest. Two contracts may be awarded based on the low price for each main bid item. The contract period will consist of a Base and Two Option Years. The Base Year will run from October 1, 2002 thru September 30, 2003. Option Year One will run from October 1, 2003 thru September 30, 2004. Option Year Two will run from October 1, 2004 thru September 30, 2005. This project will be solicited using the Request for Proposal format with price and other factors to be considered for making award of a contract or contracts. Evaluation Factors will include 1) Past Performance; 2) Qualifications/Experience; and 3) Price. The estimated value of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000 per year.
