- Description
- To provide assistance to the District Fire Management Office in conducting prescribed burning on approximately 25,000 acres. Contractor shall furnish crew transport, all terrain vehicle with water tank and tractor trailer for hauling and pump. Contractor is responsible for ALL fuel and oil needed for the operation of equipment. Contractor shall assist District Fire Management Office in prescribed burning by firing plow lines that cannot be fired by hand and/or walking. Operator will be required to drive "bombadier" down plow lines to fire lines off of "bombadier" with drip torch. Approximate date of use will depend on the burning windows available starting November, 2002 to September 30, 2003. The work schedule will be 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a 30 minute lunch break. This project is expected to use approximately 175 man hours. Your quote should be submitted at an hourly rate. This is a combination solicitation and synopsis.
