Description
Screening Information Request (SIR) No. 1, Acquire #0300649 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has a requirement for an estimated annual quantity of 50 each Radio Frequency Interrogation Generator (RFIG), ITT Avionics p/n 2800061G001 or equal, for the FA9996 second generation vortac (2GVORTAC) system. Specification required for this acquisition are FAA-STD-1349 dated July 7, 1986 and FAA-STD-1297B dated Feb. 17, 1998. First article testing will be required. The FA9996 Second Generation Vortac system is an integral part of the air traffic control or air navigaton systems. Contractor?s standard commercial warranty is required if at no additional cost to the FAA. All interested sources must submit requests for the RFO in writing (FAX No. 405-954-9219) or via the Internet by Friday, October 18, 2002. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Inquiries regarding this SIR should be directed to the Contracting Officer at (405) 954-7830. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Sort Term Lending Program (STEP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
