- Description
- This project will consist of grading, drainage, aggregate base, asphalt pavement, and bridge construction on 5.007 kilometers (largest schedule) of roadway for New Mexico PFH 12-1(5), Cuba-LaCueva Road, in Santa Fe National Forest, Sandoval and Rio Arriba Counties, State of New Mexico. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Principal work items: Miscellaneous survey and staking, lump sum; contractor testing, lump sum; clearing and grubbing, 13.000 ha; removal of bridge, structures and obstructions, lump sum; roadway excavation 68,410 m3; cofferdams, lump sum; roadway obliteration, 3,871 m2; placed riprap various classes, 1,329 m3; mechanically stabilized earth wall, 465 m2; aggregate base, 24,065 metric tons; superpave asphalt concrete pavement, 14,165 metric tons; structural concrete, class A, 267 m3; precast, prestressed concrete structural members, 8 ea; pipe culvert, various sizes, 968 m; standard underdrain system, 600 m; guardrail system G4, type 4, class A (wood posts), 2,190 m; barbed wire fence, 4-strand, 10,260 m; gate metal type, various widths, 4 ea; cattleguard, various size, 4 each; placed conserved topsoil, 11,300 m3; seeding, hydraulic method, 6.000 ha along with associated rental equipment and temporary and permanent traffic control. The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
