Description

NA The 221st Base Support Battalion has a requirement for scheduled maintenance and inspections of fire suppression, alarm and sprinkler systems, including emergency on-call repair services, at the 221st BSB Housing Areas in Wiesbaden/Mainz, Germany. Housing consists of multi-family apartment buildings. Fire suppression systems in apartment kitchen exhaust hoods are of Guardian or Ansul make, 27 buildings; alarm signal and intercom systems are Essertronic 8007 or 8000C, 28 buildings; sprinkler extinguishing systems are Minimax DIMK, 18 buildings. Contract period is 1 November 2002 through 31 October 2003. The Government intends to solicit and award a firm fixed price contract for commercial services in accordance with the policies and procedures found in FA R Part 12. Offerors must be a registered company with the recommendations of the German Underwriters (VdS) and must possess a handling permit in accordance with German Radiation Protections Ordinance (Strl Sch V). Offerors are responsible for determining whether performance requires other registrations with German authorities or authorizations to do business in Germany and, if so, for compliance with all such requirements. Request for quotation will be available on/about 14 Oct 02 and quotes are due not later than 1400 hrs, 25 Oct 2002.
