Description

The work consists of dewatering the work area, positioning bulkhead gates and controlling leakage; repair of two 72-inch ring follower gate assemblies; surface preparation and coating of water bearing ferrous metal surfaces of two 72-inch ring follower gate assemblies; and surface preparation and coating interior surface of two 72-inch conduits from the upstream bulkhead gate to 10 feet downstream of the ring follower gate. This is a negotiated competitive, firm fixed price requirement. Technicial and cost proposals will be required. Technical factors to be evaluated will be the offeror's past experience in similar work, company experience in similar work, personnel experience and other technical factors. The work is situated approximately 70 miles southwest of Casper, Wyoming in Carbon County. The estimated price range of the work is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. Required delivery date is 90 days from receipt of the Notice to Procees. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available on October 31, 2002. Requests for solicitation packages should be received by November 15, 2002. Proposals are tentitively scheduled to be received by December 2, 2002, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, Battin Federal Building, Room 2031, Billings, Montana, 59107-6900. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After the issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Wyoming Area Office, 2 miles west of Casper and 3 blocks south of Highways 20 & 26, Mills, Wyoming or the Great Plains Regional Office, 316 N. 26th Street, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. For this acquisiiton, the small business size standared is $28.5 million and the Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1796. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 234990.
