- Description
- The Announcement issued October 1, 2002 for DESIGN EXCELLENCE in public architecture for performance of Architectural-Engineering Design for full renovation of the Old District of Columbia City Hall is hereby amended as follows: [1] The 37,000 gross square foot addition is separate from the underground parking garage facility. [2] In Stage I submission requirements change items (3) and (4) to read as follows: "(3) LEAD DESIGNER PROFILE (Architectural, Interior, Electrical and Mechanical) (15%): Submit a biographical sketch (maximum of three pages for each discipline) including education, professional experience, recognition for design efforts inclusive of examples. Identify and describe areas of responsibility and commitment to each project. (4) LEAD DESIGNER PORTFOLIO (Architectural, Interior, Electrical and Mechanical) (25%): Submit a portfolio representative of each Lead Designer's Ability to provide design excellence. Submit graphics (maximum of three pages per project, and a typewritten description (maximum of two pages per project for each discipline) of up to three (3) historic restoration projects completed in the last ten years attributed to each lead designer. The portfolio should demonstrate experience in the renovation of historic structures and the introduction of new construction within the context of the historic fabric. The narrative shall address the design philosophy as well as the design challenges and resolution. Include the salient features for each project and discuss how the client's program, functional, image, mission, economic, schedule, and operational objectives were satisfied by the overall design/planning solution. Include tangible evidence where possible such as certificates, awards, peer recognition etc., demonstrating design excellence. Where there is duplication with criteria (1), the lead Designer will address his or her participation in the project." [3] There will be a pre-submission of qualifications meeting October 24, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. in the GSA Regional Office Building Auditorium, 301 7th Street, SW, Washington, DC 20407. Picture ID is required for entrance to the Building. [4] The response date remains October 31, 2002 by 3:00 p.m. All other items in the original announcement remain unchanged.
