Description

THIS PROJECT IS A RFP NOT A RFQ. St. Joe Ranger District, Shoshone County, Idaho. consisting of repairs to the N.F. St.Joe River Bridge No. 1997B-0.3 and Maiden Creek Bridge No. 1997B-0.5. The N.F. St. Joe River Bridge is an existing 144 LF structure with a steel through-truss main span and two treated timber approach spans constructed in 1935. The work includes removal of deteriorated concrete on two piers with cast-in place concrete repair, replacing the timber deck on one approach span, replacing the timber curb along the entire structure, replacing the timber bridge rail on both approach spans, replacing timber nailer and sills on all spans, installation of a water proof deck membrane, treated timber running plank, placing riprap and other incidental work items.The Maiden Creek Bridge is an existing 33 LF concrete structure constructed in 1938. Repair work includes sawcutting and removing existing concrete bridge outer deck, rail and curbs, coring holes for curb attachment, furnishing and installation of a new treated timber glued laminated curb, sealing the concrete deck surface and other incidental minor work items. Estimated price range between $100,000 and 250,000. A PREPROPOSAL MEETING IS SCHEDULED ON OCTOBER 29, 2002 AT 11 AM AT THE AVERY WORK CENTER. This solicitation may not be available prior to this meeting, but will be advertised this fall. Weather conditions may prevent access to the worksite by the time the solicitation package is available, so offerers interested are encouraged to attend the prepoposal meeting. Estimated start work date of July 30, 2003 with final completion prior to October 10, 2003.
