- Description
- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE -- The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) laboratory facility in Morgantown, WV previously purchased a Micromass quadruple time-of-flight mass spectrometer (Q-ToF-2) via competitive procedures in 1999. The warranties have expired and the government desires to provide continued maintenance for this sensitive analytical instrument. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with the original equipment manufacturer, Micromass, Inc., Beverly, MA to provide continued annual maintenance because we are not aware of any other vendor that could provide the necessary support due to proprietary design features of the instrument and controlling software. Organizations who believe they can provide the support may respond within 15 days after publication of this notice. Responses shall be submitted to: Brenda L. Goodwin (MS-1019), Reference: #2003-Q-00703, DHHS, PHS, CDC, NIOSH, ALOSH, 1095 Willowdale Road, Morgantown, WV 26505. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any sources exist, therefore, no solicitation is available. This notice is issued for informational purposes only.
