Description
NA This project consists of dredging sediments by hydraulic dredge and pipeline from the upstram side of Embrey Dam on the Rappahannock River in Fredericksburg, VA. The Contractor shall dredge material from behind the dam and place the dredged material in a Government-furnished confined upland dredged material placement area. The Contractor shall construct the placement site in proximity to the dredging area. The site work associated with construction of the placement area includes demolition, clearing and grubbing, felling of trees, excavation, construction of dikes with spill box and drainage piping, access road construction, geotextile, maintenance and final grading of the dredged material placement area, and site restoration upon completion of the dredgi ng work. The work involves dredging approximately 300,000 cubic yards of material. A Pre-Bid Conference and site visit will be held on 14 November 2002 at 10AM in the Fredericksburg City Hall, Public Works Department Office, 715 Princess Anne Street, Fred ricksburg, VA. Duration of the project is 450 calendar days for performance. This is an UNRESTRICTED Procurement. Applicable SIC code is 1629 with a size standard of $27.5 Million. The NAICS code is 234990. The s olicitation will be available on the internet only. No paper copies or CDs will be issued.
