Description

This is a presolicitation notice, to enable potential quoters to view the site prior to issuing the solicitation. The project will consist of construction and reconstruction of an estimated 5.9 miles of Moore's Creek Trail #312.2 and 7.4 miles of Square Mountain Trail 383. Both trail segments are within the Gospel Hump Wilderness. Work will include the installation of barrier logs, drainage dips, check dams, treated timber waterbars, native timber waterbars, ditching, backfilling, placement of native debris, and turnpike reconstruction and construction. The cost estimate for this work is between $25,000 and @100,000. Maps and directions are available from Debbie Gerfen or Lori Deford at 208-983-1950.

Address: From Grangeville, take SH 13 to FH 17. Take FDR 221 at milepost 1.0, then south on FR 221 to FDR 444 past milepost 30. Turn east to approximately MP 11.0 to access Trail 312.2. The trailhead for Trail 383 is another 2.6 miles beyond.
