Description

NA The previously issued combined synopsis/solicitation is ammended to anwser the following questions received form bidders and to extend the closing date of subject solicitation until 25 October 2002, 4:30 EST. Quotes may be faxed to Contract Specialist Mary Burgstrum at 787-707-3957 or e-mailed to burgstrm@usarso.army.mil 1. Question: Is the contractor required to provide on site support? Answer: No, on site support is not part of this requirement. 2. Question: Will there be a site visit? Answer: No, one is not required to bid this requirement. 3. Question: Is the contractor required to install the replacement parts? Answer: No 4. Question: Is the support service contractor required to purchase IOS software updates or are they delivered by Cisco to SMARNET? Answer: The IOS software is downloaded by the government with our CCO account. 5. Question: Will the contractor be provided with access rights thru CCO for work completion? Answer: No 6. Question: There are two parts that are not CISCO part numbers, they are CE-550 and 03640, CISCO does no have a 3640 please clarify. Answer: The CE-550 is a Cache Engine from CISCO and the end of life is 2006, the router is a 3640. 7. Question: CISCO does not offer a 24 x 7 coverage with 24 hours parts delivery The closest they offer is a 24 x 7 x 4, please clarify your needs. Answer: Response time should read 24x7x4. 8. Question: There are over twenty CISCO 2500 series routers available, which model needs support. Answer: The router is a CISCO 2503.
