Description
Amendment: This action published in FEDBIZOPS on 3 October 2002 is amended as follows: An Industry Day will be held on 30 October 2002 starting at 0900 hours located at Hyatt Regency DFW, International Parkway, DFW Airport, TX telephone (972) 453-1234. The purpose of this Day is to inform interested businesses of the scope of the contract and to promote and encourage networking for subcontracting opportunities and teaming relationships for this contract. Interested small and large businesses are encouraged to attend to take advantage of networking opportunities. The agenda of the Industry Day will also provide information and answer questions regarding the subject requirement as well as information on a separate, similar procurement for the Pacific Fleet. A separate Industry Day will not be scheduled for the Pacific Fleet procurement. In order for the Government to better answer the questions of interested parties at Industry Day, it is requested the questions be submitted prior to the forum. If you have any questions regarding the range sustainability services requirement, please send your questions to Keith Simmons, email address simmonske@efdlant.navfac.navy.mil by 23 October 2002. The intent of this contract is to procure the services of an experienced engineering firm, who most importantly has an understanding of Navy training operations and the importance of Navy Range Complexes in supporting Fleet readiness. This type of work requires a large variety of disciplines, capacity, and the management staff to coordinate and manage functional elements into a single complex plan. All registration requests to attend Industry Day should be submitted via e-mail to simmonske@efdlant.navfac.navy.mil by 23 October 2002. Your request should include your company name, location, size of business (i.e., large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, women owned small, veteran owned small, service disabled veteran owned small, or HBCU/MI), e-mail, and telephone number. If you have any difficulty e-mailing your response, please contact Keith Simmons at (757) 322-4146. The due date for qualification packages has been extended until 4:00 p.m. EST, 7 January 2003. All other information in the original synopsis remains the same.
